Volunteer Fire Relief Associations that are not eligible to be consolidated with the Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA) or elect not to be administered by PERA in the Statewide Volunteer Firefighter Retirement (SVF) Plan may invest their assets with the SBI.
Volunteer Fire Relief Associations may invest in the SIF Asset Class Pools for all or a portion of their special fund assets. General fund assets may not be invested by the SBI.
